About Black Tea Motorbikes

Black Tea Motorbikes builds retro-style electric scramblers in Munich. The brand’s hallmarks are the removable battery in the round tank area and an accessory system for retrofitting.

The Black Tea Bonfire is the brand’s compact model, with one battery, a continuous output of 5 kW, and a top speed of 115 km/h. It is considered a lightweight urban vehicle.

Above that is the Black Tea Wildfire with 10 kW continuous output and the option to ride it with one or two batteries. The earlier Bonfire variants S, E, and X are still out on the road.

Frequently Asked Questions about our cover

Answers regarding fit, protection, and everyday life with your electric scrambler

How does the motorcycle cover for Black Tea Motorbikes protect my paint from scratches?

Two layers work together here. The robust outer material catches dirt before it reaches the machine. Inside, a soft fleece protects the paint and components. Rinse off coarse dirt beforehand, otherwise the grime will rub when removing the cover.

</details>

Which cover fits my Black Tea Wildfire?

In the size finder, you select the manufacturer and model. You will get the size for the factory condition, plus recommendations for typical modifications and attachments. If your Wildfire or a specific modification is missing, send us a few details via the inquiry form. We will then provide a recommendation.

</details>

How do I secure the cover during a storm?

With the two securing straps. These are firmly sewn to the cover, run under the vehicle, and are closed there with a clip. Especially if your lightweight electric scrambler is parked in the open in a yard or carport, this hold is vital.

</details>

Can the cover be pulled over my Black Tea Bonfire immediately after riding?

No, wait until all parts are cool to the touch before using the motorcycle cover. While the Bonfire doesn’t have a hot exhaust, the motor and brakes still give off heat after a ride. If it’s wet from rain or freshly washed, you should also wait until it’s dry.

</details>

How do I properly care for the motorcycle cover for my Black Tea Motorbikes motorcycle?

A soft sponge and warm water are enough for the cover; hang it up to dry. Washing machines and harsh cleaners damage the coating. If your electric scrambler is parked under trees, rinse off dirt early. You can find care products and waterproofing in our shop.

</details>

Does a cover also fit over the luggage rack of my Black Tea Bonfire Y?

When it comes to the luggage rack, the length is what matters. We provide specific recommendations for this, in addition to the factory condition. You can find them in the size finder for your model. If your modification is missing there, request the size from us via the inquiry form.

</details>

What protects the paint under the Black Tea Motorbikes protective cover from the sun?

This is the job of our motorcycle cover’s UV-resistant coating. It intercepts the radiation before it even reaches the paint. Left unprotected, it loses its shine over time, and plastic parts become brittle. Polishing won’t bring that shine back.

</details>

Will anything slide up when I pull the cover over my Black Tea Bonfire S?

The elastic hem at the front and rear wheels prevents it from sliding up. It keeps the cover down instead of letting it migrate upwards. However, the most important factor is the correct size. A snug-fitting cover simply offers no room for movement.

</details>

Will my vehicle be safe under the cover all winter?

Certainly, the premium outdoor motorcycle cover is made for long periods of standing outdoors. It protects against moisture, snow, and road salt. If, on the other hand, your vehicle is kept in a dry garage all year round, the indoor motorcycle cover is sufficient. That one is built for dust and light contact.

</details>

Where do I thread a lock through the motorcycle cover on my Black Tea Motorbikes motorcycle?

The cover has reinforced openings for a lock at the front and rear near the tires. You can thread an ABUS lock through there, at the front or rear wheel, depending on the parking space. The cover and vehicle are then connected. No one can get to the machine without a key.

</details>

Does the cover fit over the wide handlebars of my Black Tea Bonfire X?

Absolutely, the factory handlebars are included in the recommendation. Ultimately, the fit isn’t decided by a single part, but by how the cover drapes overall. A scrambler without fairing shows many open surfaces, which is where the snug fit pays off.

</details>

Where do I store the cover when I set off?

A transport bag is included with every motorcycle cover for this purpose. You fold the cover into it and take it with you or leave it at the parking spot. This way it stays clean and ready for the next time, even if you ride your machine daily.

</details>
