About Simson
In Suhl, Simson developed successful scooters and mopeds that shaped the traffic of the GDR. The Schwalbe KR 51 started in 1964, later followed by scooters of the S series and the scooter SR 50. The S 51 achieved enormous numbers and popularity, which explains its cult status to this day.
Popular are the Simson SR50, the Simson Schwalbe KR51 and the Simson S50B2. The SR50 was built in many configurations, the Schwalbe convinces as an everyday scooter, the S50B2 offered more choice in gearbox and electrics.
