The Abus BORDO GRANIT 6500KA/90 is a highly secure folding lock with a thickness of 5.5 mm. The bars are made of specially hardened steel and are connected with robust special rivets that form the ABUS Link Protection Shield. This protective shield provides effective resistance to saw attacks and increases the flexibility of the lock.
Integrated alarm function
An outstanding feature of the BORDO GRANIT 6500KA/90 is the integrated alarm function. In the event of movement, the lock triggers a loud warning tone with at least 100 dB. Thanks to the intelligent ABUS alarm system, the activation of the full alarm occurs only in the event of suspected attacks, while accidental bumps and movements trigger only a brief 5-second warning. This prevents constant false alarms and ensures maximum safety.
The 3D positional alarm detection enables the detection of impacts and movements in all dimensions, which further improves protection. The ABUS XPlus cylinder offers an extremely high level of protection against tampering attempts such as “picking” and therefore guarantees reliable security.
Transport position
The BORDO GRANIT 6500KA/90 has a transport position where the locking bar is not fully inserted and the alarm is inactive. In the alarm position, on the other hand, the locking rod is fully inserted and the alarm is armed after locking.
The lock is equipped with a bracket (SH) for easy transport on the bike. The rods are covered with an extra soft sheath to prevent paint damage.
