About Royal Alloy
Royal Alloy is a British brand from the north of England that consistently specializes in classically designed scooters in the style of the 60s and 70s. Today, the model range extends from the classic GP Series to the flagship TG Series and the younger GT2 range, which specifically appeals to a new generation of scooter riders.
The TG 300 S impresses with many high-quality details and is suitable for both the city and longer tours. The JPS 350 is available as a road and off-road version and features an integrated front camera (dashcam) as standard. The Royal Alloy Sidecar is a three-wheeled combination that is delivered from the factory with a sidecar, so that complex retrofitting is unnecessary and it can be registered without delay.
Frequently Asked Questions about our cover
Questions about fit and use with popular Royal Alloy models
Can I use the scooter cover for my Royal Alloy scooter immediately after riding?
It’s better to wait a short while before covering. On a scooter, the engine and exhaust are located close together in the partially enclosed rear section, so heat builds up there and escapes more slowly. The muffler gets particularly hot, while the bodywork and headlights cool down quickly. As soon as the exhaust is only hand-warm, you can cover the scooter without hesitation. Plan for at least 10 minutes, or longer in midsummer.
Do I need a scooter cover for Royal Alloy if the scooter is parked in an underground garage?
A scooter cover is also useful in an underground garage because fine dust and exhaust soot from vehicles entering and exiting settle on the paint and fairing. These particles can quickly cause fine scratches when wiped over later.
For enclosed indoor spaces, we recommend our Indoor cover, which is specifically designed for garages and underground parking and protects against dust and micro-scratches with its soft inner fleece. Our Outdoor scooter cover is also excellent for indoor use and offers even better paint protection thanks to its more robust material.
Does a scooter cover fit over the Royal Alloy GP 350 SE with a top case?
Your Royal Alloy GP 350 SE can be fully covered even with a top case mounted. Our scooter covers are available in many sizes that take into account standard attachments as well as the factory condition.
Our size finder will find the right size for you: enter the manufacturer and model, and you will receive the size for the factory condition, as well as a recommendation for modifications such as a top case or high windshield directly below. If your model or modification is not listed, you can request a personal recommendation directly there.
Does a protective cover for Royal Alloy TG 300 S withstand heavy rain?
The 300D outer material of the Outdoor scooter cover with TPU coating (lotus effect) is waterproof. The seams are double-sealed, so that even during continuous rain, no water reaches the paint, seat, or electronics. This makes it reliably suitable for longer periods of outdoor storage.
Is a scooter cover for Royal Alloy also useful in summer?
The high-quality paint finishes of Royal Alloy in particular fade over time without protection. In summer, the cover keeps UV radiation away from the paint and plastic parts. Ventilation openings at the mirrors ensure air circulation so that heat and moisture do not build up underneath. This ensures your scooter remains in good visual condition for the long term.
Does a scooter cover also protect a Royal Alloy scooter from scratches?
The soft inner fleece rests gently on all painted surfaces and prevents micro-scratches caused by settled dust while stationary. This is especially worthwhile for the high-quality paint finishes of Royal Alloy, as fine scratches are particularly noticeable here. This keeps your scooter in well-maintained condition.
How securely does a scooter cover stay on the Royal Alloy GT2 in windy weather?
The custom-fit shape, the elastic hem, and the securing straps keep the cover in position during wind. Using the reinforced lock openings, you can additionally fix the cover directly to the scooter with an ABUS U-lock, ensuring it sits securely even in stronger winds. However, in the event of an announced storm, you should remove the cover as a precaution.
Is a scooter cover suitable for wintering my Royal Alloy JPS 350?
Our outdoor scooter cover is designed for longer periods of storage and reliably protects your Royal Alloy JPS 350 through the cold season. Ventilation openings ensure air circulation and allow moisture to escape instead of collecting between the cover and the scooter. Learn here how to properly winterize your scooter.
Is a protective cover for the Royal Alloy GP 125 suitable for outdoor parking?
In city traffic, the cover protects your GP 125 from bird droppings, tree resin, insect residue, and dust, so you don’t have to clean it every time before you ride. Because it completely covers the scooter, the model and value remain hidden at first glance, making the GP 125 less attractive to thieves. If you also secure the scooter with an ABUS lock, you further increase the hurdle for opportunistic thieves.
What is the best way to clean my scooter cover for Royal Alloy?
Simply wipe the cover with lukewarm water and a soft sponge, and then let it air dry. Avoid using cleaning agents, as they can damage the protective coating. Dryers or direct heat sources can also permanently damage the material, so the cover is best dried by hanging it in the air.
