The ABUS brake disc lock GRANIT™ Detecto XPlus 8077 2.0 sets standards in quality, protection and convenience.
It starts with the right material: in this case, tough, hardened special steel for the locking bolt, housing and load-bearing parts of the locking mechanism. The built-in ABUS XPlus cylinder has been specially optimized against manipulation, eg against picking attacks.
The GRANIT™ Detecto XPlus 8077 2.0 also plays in the premier electronic league. The alarm function with 3D position detection reacts sensitively and at a loud 100 dB to attempts to break in. The automatic brake disc detection system recognizes when the lock securing your Motorcycle is on the disc or not. This means that the GRANIT™ Detecto XPlus 8077 2.0 can be conveniently transported closed without the alarm going off. In addition, different colored LEDs inform you about the activity and battery status at a glance (integrated rechargeable battery, rechargeable via USB-C cable supplied).
Secure opening and closing via ABUS SmartX APP
One less key on your key ring and more flexibility in everyday life with the ABUS SmartX APP (available for iPhone and Android). The lock turns your smartphone into a digital key with the help of the app. Smartphone and lock can thus interact.
Automatic opening
Conveniently open and close the lock without having to pick up your smartphone. Through the secure Bluetooth connection, the lock communicates with your smartphone. As soon as you come within the 2m radius of the lock, the lock can be unlocked by you.
Share access authorization with family and friends via APP
Another convenient function is the access authorization. Per message access permissions can be sent to e.g. friends or family. These can be managed easily in the app. Access can be granted permanently or limited in time. Up to 8 additional persons can be taught via the app. Managing multiple locks through the app is ideal for groups and families. It is also possible to operate several locks with one cell phone.

What makes the ABUS SmartX 8078 so secure?

How does the lock work without a key?
It’s easy: with the free ABUS SmartX app. Your smartphone becomes a digital key. As soon as you approach, the lock unlocks automatically, without you having to take off your gloves or fumble with the lock.
What happens when my cell phone is empty?
You can also open the lock via Bluetooth with another authorized smartphone or take a power bank backup with you. For absolute security, the lock can also be unlocked by ABUS Service in an emergency (e.g. via recovery code).
How loud is the Granit Detecto 8078 alarm?
The alarm sounds at 100 dB, about as loud as a chainsaw. It reacts intelligently to movement and distinguishes between harmless vibrations and genuine theft attempts.
What does 3D position detection mean?
The lock uses integrated sensors to detect any change in position. If your motorcycle is moved, tilted or lifted even slightly, the alarm sounds immediately, reliably and without false alarms in windy conditions.
How long does the battery last?
The integrated lithium-ion battery lasts around 3-4 weeks with normal use. It can be quickly recharged using the USB-C cable supplied and the charge status is conveniently displayed in the app.
How do I additionally protect my motorcycle?
Additional measures such as a MYCOVER® Covers with license plate window, a GPS tracker or the combination with a ground anchor significantly increase theft protection – the more hurdles, the better.
